I think I'm glad it didn't get made. But I'm not sure how much of that is me justifying my butthurt Vala-fan attitude, so I'll just be quiet now.
ext_391411: I'd like that with a side order of Vala. (waitress)

Pfft! Most everyone on my F-List adores Vala to pieces, so your butt-hurt has plenty of company.

The only way I could accept a no-Vala screenplay is if the story were told through Jack's PoV, and he couldn't have contact with aliens (Vala, Teal'c, Bra-tac, Nyan, Martin Wood, etc.) while the SCG Program was de-classified. But then, a Stargate movie without Chris Judge in it is just OFF, because Teal'c's been in almost every episode. :(

Personally, I'd watch a movie with just Jack and Vala. They'd be hilarious together. Idiots were passing an amazing opportunity there.

OMG I can only imagine how much fun RDA & CB would have rehearsing a scene together. nomnomnomnom

PS: I meant Martin LLOYD, not Wood, in the previous reply. DERP. :P

I'm in two minds - one part of me accepts that the Stargate program couldn't be hidden forever (esp in today's financial climate), but the other remembers how shitty political SG episodes were and goes running for the hills.
ext_391411: Scully/Invisigoth from XF "Killswitch". (tongue)

The political eps don't bother me, but then again, I'm an X-Files fan & a citizen of the US. I can see how Maybourne & Kinsey plots would frustrate or bore fans who don't give a flying fig about US politics.

I like Maybourne, but yeah it's probably because I don't really understand American politics that I dislike those episodes.

Though The Road Not Taken is very political and that's one of my favourites (I never claim to be consistant, lol)
