It's rarely instrumental for me. Most of my fics have mini soundtracks, the longer pieces especially. The as-yet-untitled Baal/Vala fic for het_bigbang hasn't yet, but I'm still not 100% sure what's happening in that, while the Baal/Sam one for scifibigbang has sort of.
