It has been noted that there still aren't enough girls becoming scientists to balance the disparity of women to men in science occupations. One cannot help but speculate whether having someone who looks like Michael Shanks or Amanda Tapping narrate a series of science-based instructional videos would encourage more youngsters to become scientists...

Is it just me, or is it the way he flutters his eyelashes that makes me wanna take a look at hyperspace equations?

True fact: I only became a Geologist because I wanted to work for the SGC.

(You can't really judge me. When I chose my GCSEs - the national exams we do at 16 - I chose them based on what I needed to become a spy like James Bond. Wanting to work for the SGC was an improvement!)

Aw, how cute! James Bond was my role model when I was a pre-teen.

If I weren't so busy being a rebel in college and majoring in Theatre, I'd've become a geneticist specializing in botany, then probably wound up pissing off Monsanto and having them "disappear" me LOL...
