Try switching to Firefox for the duration, and use the Lazarus add-in. It brings your lost comments back from the dead. Srsly.

Is it? Brilliant. Lazarus is one of those "OMG Why didn't I know about this YEARS AGO" add-ins. And the little ankh icon is teh cute.

It's like having a sarcophagus to resurrect what System Lord LJ has death-ribboned. Can't wait to install the extensions on all our computers.

BTW, is MacGyver really entering DOS commands into an Apple IIe?

LOL -- that icon is from the first season: original air date, February 1986. To that you may add the characteristic Hollywood cluelessness of any era.

Half the fun of writing MacGyver fic is the retro research. I have one story where they get to talk about mainframes. *g* (It probably helps that I'm of the same vintage myself.)

"It's a good thing computers don't use machine oil. They'd both be covered in it."

"Dear me. Willis, the last time we found you head-down in the mainframe, you came out swearing that the entire thing would be completely obsolete in ten years' time. Do please tell me you're feeling less apocalyptical today."

Bwahaha! Ah, mainframes. What'll they think of next?

I wrote an X=Files kidfic set in 1974, and had to do a little research to jog my memory of the era's slang. Dynamite! Far out!

Friend/de-Friend/Ban me = it's all good.

Fandom's more fun when you're an equal-opportunity pervert (multi-shipper). Set porn goggles to maximum!

Mostly Stargate SG-1 with an intermittent chance of SGA & The X-Files.
