Claudia is AMAZING in "Half Life". Haven't listened to the other 2 yet, but her voice is so incredibly expressive & emotive; she really CARRIES the main load of the story. Vala's dialog meshes so well with Shanks's, it really feels like the characters are interacting in front of you. The music & sound effects help a lot between scenes & flashback.

Ahhhh you do need these things! If you order the CDs, the digital downloads are available for immediate download, too. Still waiting on my CDs to ship from the UK.

The digital downloads are only $25 for all 3 installments, each 1 hour for a total of 180 minutes. Instead of Claudia reading/narrating a story, mostly the way "Shell Game" was produced, this series sounds like a radio play with other actors, music, sound effects, etc.

There are TWO trilogies; the next one is coming in August. This first trilogy (three 60-minute parts) is all out; I just haven't listened to Part 2 "An Eye for an Eye" or Part 3 "Infiltration" yet because my head will explode if I mainline Claudia's awesomeness all in 1 day.

I listened to all three parts and let my head explode but then I went into serious withdrawal, so yeah, pace yourself.

I only found out about being able to do the download when I went to check on my order status (I was impatient for it to be May 31st) and realized I could download Shell Game still even though I bought that CD years ago.

Buying the CD's is kind of spendy, but you really do get a lot. I broke down and pre-ordered the next trilogy as well. I'm feeling kind of broke, but honestly, it is worth it.

The guy in charge of producing all the new stories called it a Daniel and Vala spin off to Stargate. Dream come true stuff.

I <3 my Big Finish CDs. They come in the fat DVD box & have the full credits listed on the paper cover.

Ya know, I asked Big Finish if there's any way for me to buy my friends gift certificates to d/l audios, and they never answered me. Some fans can't afford it & I have no problem letting my $$ count toward producing future Daniel/Vala SG-1 "spin-offs". :D
