Dude was sending "more than 100,000 messages in a 30-day period this past summer touting penny stocks, low mortgage rates and software to erase Internet browsing records, Virginia officials charged."

Ha! I have absolutely no sympathy for him.

I'm amused as well, but I must confess, also a little concerned. Virginia is asserting jurisdiction because his emails passed through email servers in their state, not because he committed the offenses there. That's kind of a worrying precedent if it extends to decency type laws.

Still, poetic justice, oh yes.
