When someone options your novel, shouldn't you hire a lawyer to make sure you get screenplay approval or edit rights?
Not that TIMELINE is any great work of literature -- but if I were Michael Crichton, I'd be pissed to watch a movie that bears only a passing resemblance to the original story.
