HARDWARE

• Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet

SOFTWARE

• Corel Painter Essentials 4 (trace function)
• Adobe Photoshop (cleaning, re-positioning)
• GIMP (Hubble Telescope background & export)

This manip kicked my ass; it's the first project on my brand new graphics tablet. I thought "Piece of cake! I can trace over my favorite pix and call it a day."

ZOMG. Wrong! Tracing involves deciding what to sketch and what to leave out. It also means learning how to hold the plastic pen and move it across the tablet surface; a much different feel from real pen & paper. It involves learning the intricacies of the software features, and how to customize the tool settings.

I wanted cleaner, sharper, vector-like lines, but got fuzzy, short strokes. Eck. Next time will be easier. I'm thinkin' Kama Sutra for my next tablet project.

BTW, Daniel's hung like a porn star. Why? Heh. I watch a LOT of porn. Drawing his naughty bits has prompted an interesting discussion among my beta-viewers about whether Daniel's circumcised. He was born in 1965, and snipping male infants was the vogue in the States, unless he was born in Greece... who knows? I drew him uncut, because I prefer that portion of male anatomy. Maybe I'll post the circumcised version for a Jack/Daniel prompt...

Anyway, off to sleep and write porn in the morning!

I am totally on the side that says Daniel isn't. Although I'd always thought the argument for that was that he was born in Egypt?

But yes. You... you definitely should draw another version for another prompt. So we can compare. Very, very closely. :-D

Thank magnavox_23 for Vala's hipbones! She did an AWESOME beta-viewer job, complete with in-image notes and line strokes.

My husband was adamant that Daniel's circumcised, given statistics for the era. He says that tropical peoples circumcise for hygiene, especially if Daniel were born in Egypt. Apparently, Jews AND Muslims circumcise.

I maintain that DOCTOR Claire Ballard-Jackson would've threatened to kill anyone who came at her newborn baby with a knife, since she was a feminist Bohemian-hippie chick who insisted on being in the middle of a dangerous coverstone installation that killed her.

Anyway, I did draw a circumcised version. I'll post it in the morning.

Ohhh I think I got kind of confused on the regional circumcision thing then - didn't realize Egypt would be IS, not isn't.

I assumed the same thing...and was quite surprised when my research showed that Muslims do circumsion too.
So yeah...if he was born in either the US or Egypt chances are he's 'cut'.

My mother refused to have her son cut in 1957. Her doctor was thrilled by her choice. Sexual pleasure is increased by a foreskin. And that has been proven. Europeans do not do it and were not doing it in 1965. I know this for a sure. Let him have a foreskin so Vala can play. As for Daniel's size? We all know he's hung like a stallion....

Love how this turned out btw. It looks amazing. I think you should continue "practicing" with your new software and perhaps make a nice "firm"ware version of Daniel. We won't be able to tell one way or another. It would be like killing two birds...pretty please with sugar on it?

For some, it's a hugely controversial topic; there's even a Jews Against Circumcision movement (http://www.jewsagainstcircumcision.org/). I was pretty startled to learn about how the tens of thousands of nerve endings in the prepuce enhance sexual arousal (http://www.sexasnatureintendedit.com/10F/Foreskin_Function.html). (I can say from personal experience that I prefer fellating when there's a foreskin involved. And that my unfortunately circumcised ex had trouble lasting more than 5 minutes.)

That said, I'll be working on getting a Jack/Daniel image ready for the Porn Battle, with the circumcised!Daniel version.

Oh crap. Is Colonel Jonathan O'Neill circumcised...?
