META: Disorganized plotbunnies

campylobacterSo I'm searching my hard drive for a missing genfic scene I wrote months ago for Stargate's "Ark of Truth", where it's all heroism and action and pew-pew-pew after Teal'c gets shot by the Ori staff blast...
...and Daniel & Vala eventually run out of ammo
...and Tomin and his rock try to save the day and negotiate with the Ori soldiers AND I CAN'T FIND IT.
WTF?
Then I suddenly remember: I wrote it in LONGHAND and haven't transcribed it yet.
D'oh!

Date: 2011-02-28 10:03 pm (UTC)Writing with pen/pencil on paper is so frustrating now; there's no spell-check, no electronic dictionary handy to look up etymologies & synonyms, no Google for instant research, no transcripts of episodes to verify canon, no screen caps of the show to inspire porn, yadda yadda. Not to mention the difficulty in moving sentences around and erasing phrases and inserting long sections of text into what I've already written.
I still like to do sketches of floor plans on paper for blocking, as well as using paper to scratch notes that won't be transcribed, but gggggrrrrssshhh I'm so addicted to word processing now for writing that I've been aching to get an iPad or a new laptop so I can write in bed where it's most comfortable. It's so slow going at my desktop; I can't ruminate properly. :p
