PERSONAL: "Updated" my Facebook profile with disinformation

Ugh. I don't know why I'm even posting this. I was in a pretty good mood a few hours ago, then I checked my email and found this AGAIN:

They sent the exact same thing to me over a month ago.

What do you care, Facebook? Is it so important that I provide you with constantly updated information that you can sell to advertisers?

I'm afraid I got ragey and replaced my FB Profile pic with Trollface, changed my city to Istanbul, my hometown to somewhere in Senegal, deleted my almae matres, blocked a bunch of people and locked down my Privacy settings. I'm feeling moderately better, because instead of some insidious database caching Profile info if I'd deleted my account, I forced their DB to update my info with false information -- as per my abiding love for using disinformation to render worthless unscrupulous intelligence-gathering efforts.

Fucking Face Book........ I have it and every time they send me an Update....... I think Why the hell haven't I deleted my account?
I keep it for family because my husband's family is obsessed with FB but
Do I really care about Farmville or what ever the ridiculous game is being played
NO! I am not.... Fb is an annoyance I must seemingly endure.

Yeah, I have FB for 2 reasons: work requires it, and my family uses it to post pix of my nieces & nephew. It's been interesting to re-connect with people from high school, but rather odd getting Friend requests from people in my choir & church members because it's just weird interacting with ppl ONLINE whom I can phone or talk to face-to-face on a daily basis.

The really creepy requests come from friends or relatives of acquaintances from school. I DON'T KNOW YOU. WHY ARE YOU CREEPING ME? Blech.

I know, people just don't know what the hell to do anymore with out their face book. But I shouldn't talk because I live on twitter....... Is that just as bad? Lol
I like LJ. This where I first started out on the computer. It's home for me.
I like it. There are so many great people here! You being one! :)
Yeah, I have one friend that I can talk on the phone with and talking to them on line is just strange sometimes. Lol
