There've been very interesting further developments in that: it seems that the authors in question may have been stretching a point or several, with a high probability of excessive self-interest and an attempt at plausible deniability.

The good news is that most of the discussion is pushing aside the "Who lied?" quesrtion and choosing to focus on "How can we get more YA published with non-mainstream lead characters?"

"If more people buy books with these elements, then publishers will want to publish more of them."

Oh please. The Supply vs. Demand logic falls apart when one examines RIAA Payola tactics; turn on any Clear Channel radio station and hear Adele singing every other song.

Fandom's more fun when you're an equal-opportunity pervert (multi-shipper). Set porn goggles to maximum!

Mostly Stargate SG-1 with an intermittent chance of SGA & The X-Files.
