I just saw Return of the King.

I never thought I'd see a movie made of the trilogy in my lifetime, and now I have. So what is there left to live for? Outtakes on the DVDs?

And my gosh, I can't watch movies or television anymore without thinking "slashfic opportunity!" The slash was EVERYWHERE. And there was even a weird phallic het moment between Merry and Eowyn. Brrr.

And Elrond and Galdalf would make an interesting--

Oh stop it, camps. Just go to bed and get some sleep.

I've yet to see ROTK but am dying to go, so can't begrudge you time well spent at the movie theatre.

My real question is though - why are you writing in your LJ instead of finishing Orpheus and Eurydice? Or writing a sequel to Tampons for Men? Eh?

First, I'm still on the final 5% of "Crucified Toad", which is threatening to force me to excise a conceit that doesn't fit, but to which I've become attached.

Also, I had a sudden brainstorm for reworking the old draft of "Orpheus & Eurydice: Scully & Mulder Die and Go to Hell", so everything is being rewritten from the ground up-- er, down. I'm also rereading Dante's "Inferno" and researching Virgil and ancient Greek social history, just 'cuz I don't want to get anything wrong.

What would a sequel to "Tampons for Men" be called? "CSM's Enema"? I just can't go there; it's too frightening.i
